Ok so that's an inside joke that no one but my sister, my brother and I will get but it really made me laugh and it's totally appropriate for today. Since Wednesday I have been feeling out of sorts and today I have to face the fact that I am actually sick. Not that sick but sick enough to keep me away from my Cricut Expression machine so that's pretty sick. I did however make a Christmas treat bag prototype. I made this treat bag using my Plantin Schoolbook cartridge and my Don Juan cartridge. I made the box 5 inches tall and I think if I get well enough to follow through with this project I will make them 6 instead. I also used the roly poly button on the Schoolbook cartridge. So here it is. Photo taken with Photobooth on my Macbook Pro. I'm sick so now I'm going to lay in bed and drink juice while I watch TV on Hulu.com

I decided to give making some ornaments a shot. These were made using my Mickey and Friends, Happily Ever After and Paper Doll Dress Up cartridges. They key to putting these together is a pair of fine tip or needle tip tweezers and lots of patience. I attempted to have one ornament laminated at Staples and my instinct that it probably wouldn't come out to great was right. The laminate they use is very heavy duty and thick and it does not get down into the layers enough which creates a bubbling effect. So my plan B was to try a self laminating sheets which are thinner and more pliable. I laid them down face first on sheet number one and kept the non stick backing on. Flipped them over and used a stylus for embossing to push the laminate down into the layers as best I could. Then I took sheet number two and put it on the back using a brayer. This was very tricky. Creasing was an issue on a couple of the ornaments but since it's not visible from the front it doesn't effect the overall appearance much. Thankfully this only happened on a couple. In the end I am pleased with how they came out but I don't think in the future I will be laminating them. I will probably experiment with another method of sealing them. Perhaps a paper friendly varnish or Mode Podge. If you're good with the laminate it's a decent method but it was a bit nerve wracking for me. So here they are my Disney Cricut ornaments.

I made some adorable keychains and bag clips using some altered vintage images. Inspired by love for family and friends! I think they came out pretty cute and I definitely plan on making more like this! I also made a cute magnet set. Oh and I also have another gorgeous layout for winter by Itkupilli so thanks to her and if you're looking for some beautiful free layouts be sure to click her button on my sidebar!!
