I recently won the Elmo's Party Cricut Cartridge from My Pink Stampers blog. You can find the link to her blog to your right. The best thing about winning was that I was not having a great day and it totally cheered me up! Also this is not a cartridge I would have bought since my daughter is 12 now. I definitely think it's cute but Provo Craft has released SO many awesome cartridges that I have to pick and choose which ones I really want and will really get lots of use from. My two year old nephew LOVES Elmo so this will be perfect!! It's fun to receive a gift or to win something you would like to have but probably never buy for yourself! I can't wait to cut out little Elmo's and Mr. Noodle is even on this cartridge which I thought was hilarious! So big, big thanks to Robyn a.k.a My Pink Stamper and to Provo Craft for donating the cartridge!
Lately I have been wanting to experiment with paper crafting and do something new and different. I kept seeing these adorable paper cones around and decided to give it a go and make one. These are great for so many different things. You can hang them on a Christmas Tree, use them as little gift bags, put candy in them and use them for any occasion. They look cute hanging from doorknobs or just about anywhere. You can also make your own party hats! For this one I made a paper flower bouquet using my Serenade and Storybook Cricut Cartridge's. You can find a pattern Here at Crafty Secrets. I didn't use this pattern because I wasn't aware of it at the time but it may have made my life easier! The stamp I used is from the Greetings From Wonderland set you can find it Here over at Crafty Secrets as well. Their stamps are amazing quality! The best thing about this project is how versatile it is. I'm thinking of making some luminaries out of these cones using the Centerpoint function or Cricut Design Studio and vellum paper. Come to think of it if Provo Craft should release a cartridge for making luminaries! That would be awesome!!!
