I saw a version of these online and I wanted to give them a whirl. I thought they would be super cute done in a Valentine's Day theme. I will be making about three or four of these in varying sizes and designs to hang in my entry way.
Here's how I did it. Taking two sheets of 12x12 paper I cut them into 1 inch strips. Since the only appropriate paper I had on hand was one sided I spritzed the back of one sheet with Glimmer Mist and repeatedly stamped the other sheet with a heart stamp and red ink this way there would be detail from every angle. My paper is from DCWV and it's from one of their photo stacks. I used red roses and a sheet that had vintage postcards all over it.
To create the "spine" of the design I glued two or three strips together end to end so it would be the length I needed. Then I glued them together using my hot glue gun starting at the ends until there was a small loop at the bottom. After that I just took additional strips and glued them onto the spine to create heart shapes. Some lace, some red Stickles added here and there with a paint brush and a pretty little charm on the bottom completed the decoration.
Hope you like it! Thanks for looking! :)
